Speaker Bio

Raisa Hashem is a Security DevOps Specialist in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Professional Services team, based out of Melbourne, Australia. On a day to day, Raisa works with Enterprises to fast-track their cloud adoption journey through educating best practices and developing system architectures, security controls, and infrastructure automation. Prior to AWS, Raisa worked as a DevOps engineer and Architect at enterprises such as Telstra and GE. Raisa is passionate about Women-in-Tech and works with many organizations, high schools, and primary schools in Melbourne to conduct hackathons, mentorships, and coding workshops. With a graduate degree in Biomedical Engineering, she loves learning about intelligent technology and their application in improving human movement. Outside of technology, Raisa loves to do and teach yoga, is a student of Indian Classical Dance, and is obsessed with traveling the world.
