Meeting Summary

SEP310 - Controlling the future

Session Description

While the adoption of microservices has and will continue to grow, customers have expressed concerns about the state of container security. In this chalk talk, we discuss the differences between technical security controls and the hardening that have been traditionally applied to operating systems based on Amazon EC2. We also discuss the technical security controls that need to be applied to operating systems that use container-based infrastructure, such as Amazon ECS, Amazon EKS, and AWS Fargate. We focus on the improved security and operational agility of AWS Fargate with Distroless containers.
